Marvin Houston

My name is Marvin Houston, a native of Memphis, TN. I have a resume that showcase nearly a decade of experience in the world of media and entertainment.

While at Trenholm State Technical College, I studied mass communication and nurtured my passion for media by writing for his college's newspaper as a reporter to advancing to section editor. Expanding my media scope during college, I served as a production assistant at WVAS 90.7 FM.

With a solid foundation established I took on the challenge of becoming the co-host on the Rick Hall Morning Show at WXVI 1600 AM Montgomery, AL, later moving on to co-host alongside Sharron Dunn with Midday Praise.

Continuing my quest to master all things media while attending college, I juggled classes and a master control operator post with TBN (Trinity Broadcasting Network); continuing my upward climb I transitioned to an associate producer to the highly popular Praise the Lord show along with other shows with the network.

Capitalizing on my academic and hands on experience, I landed a spot as an on-air personality and producer of the Tom Joyner Morning Show at WRRX Magic 106.1 FM in the Pensacola, FL market as well as serving as senior video editor with En Vogue Entertainment.

With a nonstop work ethic and passion for my craft, I enrolled at Full Sail University, pursuing a Music Business Bachelors of Science. It is with this education, I plans to own an Entertainment Firm and become a full-time music publicist representing signed and unsigned artists, landing them newspaper, magazine and online coverage as well as radio and television opportunities.
