An experienced dentist with an extensive educational background, Dr. Marvin Baptiste first gained knowledge by participating in related organizational leadership programs, such as the Student National Dental Association, where he served as national president from 2006 to 2009. A former student representative of the Career Guidance and Diversity Activities committee of the American Dental Association, Dr. Marvin Baptiste currently works as an associate orthodontist at County Dental/Koolsmilz Orthodontics, where he also provides cosmetic and laser dentistry services and oral cancer care.
In addition to the orthodontic training he completed at the Howard University College of Dentistry in 2010, Dr. Marvin Baptiste has participated in research programs in the field of dentistry. He served as a Birnberg Student Research Day presenter at Columbia University in 2006 and as a research trainee at the National Institute of Health in 2004.
Voted one of Ebony Magazine's Top 30 Young Leaders Under 30 in 2008, Dr. Baptiste published an article titled "Community Based Dental Education: Current Models and Perspectives" in the New York State Dental Journal that same year.
