Born on May 14, 1991, to Mr. Pius and Mrs. Sarah Ogbu, both of whom are chefs, Nkechi MaryJane Daser is a business developer and teacher, currently building ipush-HER, an investment and Equity Finance firm for female-led/female-owned businesses in Africa. She holds a diploma in accounting and a degree in business administration from the University of the People in San Francisco.
She is a second-time founder, whose first business was Oavalze Foods, the makers of Oavalze tomatoes and Oavalze coffee. She then founded EmJay's Secret Coffee Skincare, an indigenous coffee skincare brand based in Nigeria, catering to Black women.
Mary-Jane mentors young women interested in entrepreneurship and is actively involved in female empowerment and equity.
She has been a teacher since 2015, combining her teaching career with building businesses. Her teaching skills make her a good mentor and teacher to younger women interested in learning business skills.
She is an alumnus of the British Council accelerator program, the Flourish Africa Entrepreneurship program, and the Academy of Women Entrepreneurs by the United States of America.
She is passionate about human development, her country, and the environment. She is also particular about building a female-led business and has built her business distribution channel around sharing revenue with women whom she calls beauty culturalists. Her current equity and finance firm is focused on investing and funding women.
She loves reading, writing, and travelling.
Mary-Jane is married and lives with her family and their dog and cat in Paris, France.
