Mary’s high tech career began at Digital Equipment Corporation where she spent many years in Sales and Services, calling on a variety of U.S. Enterprise accounts and specializing in Telecom and Media & Entertainment. Working on large outsourcing deals Mary went onto Pacific Bell where she launched the first outsourcing business and closed the first videoconferencing deal with Apple Computer. In addition, she was on the Pacific Telesis team that spun out Airtouch plus others where she was responsible for making sure that all infrastructure was moved over per FCC regulations. Mary was also Pacific Bell’s North American National Account Sales Manager until she left to follow a mentor to the start-up world. Mary has held business development, sales and marketing leadership roles at many start-up companies.

Recruited for her extensive sales management expertise by GTE Internetworking, formerly BBN, Mary was hired to lead GTEI’s San Francisco office as District Manager where her supervision and leadership resulted in surpassing sales goals by 210%. As GTE/Bell Atlantic became Verizon, Mary was promoted to Pacific Northwest Regional Vice President for GENUiTY (Formerly GTE Internetworking) where she led GENUiTY’s regional sales and marketing growth for services including Web-hosting, Internet access, VoIP, Virtual Private Networks (VPN). She was charged with building a marketing presence in a new six-state region that included Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and Alaska. In less than a year, she grew the region by more than 300% and recorded sales at several Fortune 500 companies including Microsoft, Boeing, Intel, Amazon and others. Mary also built strong local relationships through GENUiTY’s e-Partners program to leverage leading products and services from business partners, offering customers a complete networking solution.

Prior to being hired by Microsoft to build the Media and Entertainment Partner Ecosystem for Communications Sector and do M&E analysis work, Mary was Vice President of Business Development for Aspirity, a Business Intelligence Consulting Company. By design, the company was acquired by Hitachi Consulting approximately a year and half after Mary began working on acquisition goals. Other roles include: Vice President, Strategic Partnerships, Americas Licensing & Content Services, DTS, Inc; AVP THX Ltd., and Sr. Director, Bitcentral.
