Mary Green

Mary grew up just outside of Augusta, GA in a loving family. Her mom describes her childhood as a "bundle of nonstop energy" and she hasn't slowed down much since. Her family was active in church and she was taught the Bible from an early age Although she knew this from an early age, it wasn't until later that God used James 2:19 and an evangelist's phrase "head knowledge to heart knowledge" to help me truly grasp the concept of repentance and a relationship with God. Christianity was no longer based on just knowledge, but an active daily relationship falling in love with a living Savior and letting Him transform her into His image. She is not only passioniate about her relationship with Christ, but encouraging and discipling others in their walks as well.

At her pre-school graduation, she answered the ever-famous question, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” by wanting to be a nurse. Though time has passed and numerous things have changed, she retained the same basic goal: to help people. In middle school, Mary fell in love with sports. Unable to choose one sport to focus on, she began to realize that she wanted her future to include both athletics and helping people. High school is where Mary was introduced to the world of sports medicine and knew that was what she wanted to do. Mary attended Wingate University and became a certified athletic trainer. After Wingate, Mary was a graduate assistant athletic trainer at the University of South Carolina (Go Gamecocks!) and recieved her Master of Science.

Mary has had a few opportunities to travel overseas with athletic teams sharing the gospel through the platform of sports. Those experiences in addition to working with numerous international athletes have opened her eyes not only to her love for international sport competition, and sharing the Gospel, but the need for sports medicine education overseas.

She is excited to bring all of her passions and gifts together to love and serve thos in Mexico through sports medicine and discipleship.
