Mary Child is an editor and publishing consultant working in the Greater New York area. She has more than twenty years of experience in New York and Hong Kong both as an in-house acquisitions editor for university presses (Oxford University Press and Cambridge University Press) and as an independent book editor and consultant to prospective authors. She has helped hundreds of authors bring their manuscripts into shape for publication and successfully develop and propose their book ideas. She edits and writes journal articles and has worked as a speechwriter.
Mary is editor of The Journal of Families with Children from China, a joint publication of FCC of Greater New York and FCC-New England. She is also a board member of FCC of Greater New York.
