I am an Immigration lawyer currently living in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Mary Keyork earned a degree in Civil Law from the University of Montreal in 2005 and a Masters in Transnational Law and Common Law from the University of Sherbrooke in 2006.
Mary Keyork was called to the Ontario Bar in 2009 and has practised immigration law since. After managing a mid-size immigration law firm in Toronto for almost 2 years, Mary Keyork established her own firm specializing in immigration law in 2011.
Mary Keyork has handled hundreds of immigration applications in all categories and has appeared before all three Divisions of the Immigration and Refugee Board as well as at the Federal Court of Canada, successfully representing clients in complex immigration applications and hearings. Mary Keyork served as a Member-at-Large of the Citizenship and Immigration Section of the Ontario Bar Association for the 2010-2011 term.
Mary Keyork has a diverse background of related international experiences, including internships at the Armenian Parliament for the United States Agency of International Development (USAID) in Yerevan, Armenia through Birthright Armenia in 2006 and at the International Labor Organization (ILO) in Geneva, Switzerland in 2007.
Mary Keyork also served a three year term as a Board Member of the Kasa de Kamu, where she assisted in the creation of a non-profit charity dedicated to helping young women in Peru. Mary Keyork is currently a Board Member and Treasurer of the Armenian Family Support Services (AFSS), a non-profit community organization whose mission is to provide emergency support, settlement and referral services to newcomers in the Greater Toronto Area.
Mary Keyork is currently a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Ontario Bar Association and the Armenian Bar Association and also volunteers for the Ontario Lawyer’s Assistance Program (OLAP). Mary Keyork has also participated in the METRAC (Metropolitan Action Committee on Violence Against Women and Children) legal information training on the subject of the vulnerable status of immigration changes on women.
Mary Keyork is fluent in English, French and Armenian (Eastern and Western) and has conversational abilities in Spanish.
