My name is Maryan Haye, and I am an actor and screenwriter from Toronto. I am a current student in the RTA Media Production program at Ryerson University, specializing in TV and Video, and have taken classes in production, screenwriting, and media business. I am an actor, having worked on a few short films and media content, and am currently looking to build my resume. I have experience in film programming, having helped curate line up for several youth festivals.

My ultimate goal is to create stories that connect with people, whether as an actor playing a emotionally challenging roe, or writing stories that instantly pull people in. I am very passionate about mental health, as well as exploring my cultural identity and what it means to be Somali-Canadian today.
