Mary Campagnano brings over fifteen years of broad based business and retained search experience to Allen Austin. Based in the Houston office, Mary's network spans the globe. She is a part of the firm's Energy & Natural Resources sector and Communications practice. She brings deep knowledge and expertise in the areas of executive leadership, administration, communications, investor relations, human resources, corporate strategy, marketing, business development and sales. Her expertise includes extensive market mapping of public and private energy companies (upstream, midstream, downstream, EPC, power and chemical) and communication entities (advertising, media, and publishing).

Prior to Allen Austin, Mary spent five years with Russell Reynolds Associates in the New York and Houston offices. She worked in the global CEO, Board Services, Industrial and Natural Resources practices. At Allen Austin, Mary utilizes her communication skill set and global energy search experience to help CEOs and boards maximize effectiveness of human capital resources and build enterprise value.

Prior to search, Mary worked as the Director of Communication for a national, diversified corporation with assets in energy and biotech/specialty pharmaceuticals. She was formerly a communications lead on Capitol Hill to a United States Commissioner for President Clinton's Consumer Protection and Quality in the Healthcare Industry. Mary was an instructor of interpersonal communication and group dynamics, public relations, and marketing writing at Boston College, Emerson College and George Mason University. She is a published author to two communication and political rhetoric books currently utilized in college classrooms nationally (Inventing a Voice: The Rhetoric of American First Ladies of the Twentieth Century Communication, Media, and Politics and Leading Ladies of the White House: Communication Strategies of Notable Twentieth-Century First Ladies).

Mary is an Energy Advisor for the Houston Technology Center, which is a business incubator for commercialization of emerging technology companies. She is also a member of numerous women's energy and communications networks. Mary spent much of her childhood and adolescence in Europe, thereby offering exceptional cultural understanding, insight and sensitivity. She speaks conversational German.
