Mary E. (Johnson) Garris

Mary Elizabeth Garris (Johnson) was born in Georgia, raised in Alabama and spent a major portion of her adult life in Nashville, Tennessee. She currently lives in Joelton, Tennessee. Mary is a Capricorn born in December. She values her privacy and time alone; nevertheless, she also enjoys spending time with friends, family, and that special someone (if he ever shows up).

She has two brothers living, her youngest brother David Scott Johnson committed suicide on in 2013. She is currently single and residing with her son Tim, her daughter-in-law Val, her friend Kim, and her three grandchildren. Her first marriage was to Daniel. Mary has two sons (her youngest Paul - Deceased) and six granddaughters (yes, she’s a grandmother “Mawmaw”). Her sons are Tim and Paul (deceased), and her granddaughters are Alexis, Sara, and Emma; her grandson is Tim Jr. (by Tim) Katelyn, Shelby & Shaylee (by Paul) who are twins. Her second husband was David. She remains friends with both ex-husbands. Becoming Mary’s friend is a life-long commitment: she’s loyal to her friends and family. She expects loyalty in return. Mary is family oriented although; she finds that too much time spent with family creates more problems than visiting periodically. Moreover, she is a strong and enthusiastic person when she is in a relationship; extremely verbal and open-minded.
