Maryela Amaro

I am a Cristo Rey Jesit High School 2013 alumni, where I had the opportunity to internship in various corporate offices located in downtown Chicago. Though I was exposed to the business world at a very young age, my heart has always belonged to the art of teaching. I am 2013 Golden Apple Scholar and I am attending the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign where I am studying Elementary Education. I hope to one day become a CPS teacher and give back to my community that has taught me the definition ofhard work and determination.
