Mary Jinglewski

Mary Jinglewski is currently a Training Services Librarian for Equinox Software, a full-service open source library services provider for Evergreen, Koha, and FulfILLment. Mary completed her Master in Library and Information Studies program at UBC-Vancouver.

Mary has worked in several library settings, such as the UBC Museum of Anthropology Library and Smithsonian Libraries. Other information-oriented experiences include being a technology and social media coordinator, a data clerk, and a research assistant on faceted retrieval of e-government documents. More recently, she was a Field and Project Librarian for the BC Libraries Cooperative consulting on IT infrastructure for rural BC libraries and working on an alternative format repository, the National Network of Equitable Library Service (NNELS).

Armed with her Bachelor in Computer Science, Mary is always open to new opportunities, and enjoys contributing to community endeavors, especially when technology and libraries are involved. Recently, she has become involved with Mozilla and some of their community initiatives - webmaker and Hive Learning Networks. Not surprisingly, she has a fondness for knowledge in all its forms, and a love of organizing data. Mary also enjoys organizing events and putting her leadership skills to use.

In her spare time, Mary enjoys traveling, watching hockey, and contra dancing while living in Georgia - the state, not the country.
