My primary interest is in Positive Psychology and how it promotes personal well-being. In 2012 I earned an Associate’s degree in Drug and Alcohol Recovery Counseling from Gateway Community College with honors. After which I attended the University of Bridgeport and graduated May 2014 with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology, with a 3.9 GPA. Currently I attend Central Connecticut State University studying for a Master of Science in Counselor Education with specialization in Student Development in Higher Education.
As a current graduate student at CCSU I am interested in the modern conversation connecting personal well-being and success among young college students. My graduate scholarship will focus on how positive self-awareness training programs support retention in higher education. I believe there is a major link in student thoughtfulness and responsibility in relation to their future successes. I am motivated to assist students in their academic process and effectively contribute to student growth, service, and scholarship, and too be a part of the colligate mission.
