Taking the advice from friends and business associates, I set up Changing MO LLC and opened my doors for business in 2012. I'm trading on the tenets brought forward in my first book, "The Changing MO of the CMO", and the ongoing dialogue I've been having with CMOs around the convergence of brand and reputation, integration, influencer strategies, change navigation, and trans-border best practice. My second book, "What the New Breed of CMOs Know That You Don't", will launch in June. In addition to current clients, I've taken on a leadership role for The Conference Board's new Council on Social Media, as well as Committee Chair for Development for the EcoHealth Alliance, formerly The Wildlife Trust, on whose board I sit. Additionally, I'm working with two UK-based business partners, Brand Pie and Sociagility.
I have over 25 years of integrated marketing experience in the international arena. Resident in London for 17 years, I returned to the US 11 years ago. Previously, I worked in PR and advertising in my home state of California. I've worked with and advised many blue-chip organizations including P&G, Kellogg's, Motorola, PepsiCo, Beiersdorf, J&J, HSBC, Amex, Porsche, Patek Philippe, Anheuser-Busch, and many others.
I served on the Cannes Lions PR jury in the category's inaugural year, and I've been an active member of the marketing community for the last six years - as an advising member of the Marketing 50 (World 50) and The CMO Club. I also recently joined the Global Marketing Network on its advisory council and as a faculty member.
