Mary Schultz
As one of The National Trial Lawyers’ Top 100 Attorneys, Mary Schultz has spent an impressive 26-year career practicing law in Spokane, Washington. The principal lawyer for her private firm, Mary Schultz Law, PS, she has an extensive and highly acclaimed legal career as well as a history of law and business-related public speaking engagements around the state of Washington. A litigation expert on discrimination cases, Mary Schultz was hired in 2006 by ABM Industries, Inc., to monitor potential workplace discrimination issues and develop methods for positive change at all levels of the company. She filled this role until 2009. In addition to discrimination cases, Mary Schultz handles negligence cases related to surgery and hospital visits, as well as dental negligence and wrongful death. She has handled several cases that have resulted in million-dollar outcomes, including a $36.6 million judgment for loan fraud in the Spokane County Court System in 2010. Mary Schultz is a three-time nominee to the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers Board of Governors. She has been a Washington State Super Lawyer nearly each year the award has been given, and she has also been named Spokane's Top Medical Negligence Lawyer by Spokane Coeur d'Alene Living. Mary Schultz is a member of the Washington State Bar, the California State Bar, the Washington Association for Justice, and the Los Angeles and Spokane County Bar Associations. Outside of her professional legal career, Mary Schultz has an extensive background in competitive sports and martial arts, including intramural basketball, football, and softball participation while in law school. Schultz also played varsity women's basketball in high school and participated in track and city league softball before playing on the Southwest Conference Champion women's varsity lacrosse team at the University of Texas at Austin and the Gonzaga University women's varsity basketball team. Mary Schultz has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from the University of Texas, and a Juris Doctor from the Gonzaga University of Law.
