Mary Conway Scott
With over 13 years experience in the advertising and marketing industry, Mary’s resumé includes working on campaigns for a variety of industries, from retail to automotive to health and beauty.
Mary spent the early stages of her career working at two of Detroit’s largest advertising agencies, Campbell-Ewald and Doner, where she worked on strategic planning and account management for highly visible brands such as Chevrolet, Whirlpool, La-Z-Boy, Bissell, Pier 1 and Delta Faucet.
After several years on the agency side, Mary shifted gears and went “client side” as VP of Marketing for American Laser Centers, where she was responsible for all aspects of marketing the company as it rose from 20 to more than 200 nationwide locations and eventually reached an annual marketing budget of more than $24 million.
She founded Scott Advertising to not only fulfill a lifelong dream of owning an advertising agency, but to give clients the opportunity to work with someone who has truly been “in their shoes,” by knowing what it’s like to employ an agency to perform key duties.
Mary is a graduate of Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI where she received her degree in Communications and English. In her spare time, Mary enjoys yoga, running, reading and writing. Mary donates her time and marketing expertise to several charitable foundations. She is currently working on completing her first novel.
