Mary T. Griffin

Attorney Mary T. Griffin attended the University of Michigan, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in History in 1984. Later that year, Mary T. Griffin obtained a Paralegal Certificate with Honors from Roosevelt University in Illinois. Mary T. Griffin would further her education three years later, enrolling at Milwaukee, Wisconsin’s Marquette University Law School. Supplementing her studies, Mary T. Griffin accepted internships from the Milwaukee County Circuit Court and Internal Revenue Service District Counsel's Office. The State Bar of Wisconsin also hired Mary T. Griffin during this period to research tort reform legislation. Earning her Juris Doctor in 1990, Mary T. Griffin returned to Illinois, where she worked for six years at Chicago-area law firms as an attorney practicing estate and trust administration, estate taxes, and probate. In 1996, Harris Trust and Savings Bank offered Mary T. Griffin the position of Vice President of Executive Administration, a role she held for eight years. Following her role with Harris Trust and Savings Bank, Mary T. Griffin worked at another law firm, Kelleher & Buckley, LLC, located in North Barrington, Illinois. Starting as an associate and becoming a member in 2008, Mary T. Griffin continues to practice estate law. Helping people plan for their futures through wills, trusts, and guardianships, Mary T. Griffin assists her clients in understanding the nuances and important issues connected with estate planning. Admitted to practice law in Illinois and Wisconsin, Mary T. Griffin participates in the professional organizations and bar associations of those states and once held the title of Chair of the Chicago Bar Association’s Trust Law Committee.
