I dabble in a bit of everything at the moment. I am currently working at National Geographic Learning | Cengage and teaching Master's level courses in EdTech at Michigan State University (go green!) in the MAET program, and I do social media marketing and graphic design for the Michigan Department of Education. For 7 years, I also served on the Board of Directors for MACUL, and held most positions including President, where we have 33,000 members and put on a large annual EdTech conference. I'm an experienced K12 educator who has taught all subjects to 2nd-8th graders, and I'm very proud to have started a brand new STE(A)M program in one of the districts I worked in. I did everything from program branding to curriculum design and student recruitment. The program was always full, and I put special emphasis on including females and people of color to diversify the STEM workforce. My professional interests include STE(A)M, design thinking, the psychology behind engagement and motivation, and effective and creative uses of technology to assist teaching and learning. I love to travel around the world as well as connect and share.
