Marzipan Mummy

NYC area

I believe in understated, no-fuss design. Vintage mod tables, sleek chairs and seductive lamps once again bask in the light of day, reclaiming the attention they deserve. Many of our pieces have moved on to become props in Broadway plays, film documentaries, commercials and network TV. Others grace tiny lofts in the East Village, stately apartments on Central Park West and Victorian mansions in Connecticut. Architects, museum curators, photographers, decorators on a budget, filmmakers and actors have called on us. We enjoy learning about the creative journeys our pieces undertake. David Rinaldi is Marzipan Mummy's chief "archaeologist". He is a NYC area musician, writer and educator with a penchant for sweet almond paste and ancient history. He grew up in a family of college professors, artists, writers, and musicians. While visiting homes filled with books and treasures collected from around the world he acquired a keen sense for objects that inspire mystery, music and adventure.
