I am a 3rd year Ph.D. student in Graduate School of Information Sciences of Tohoku University. My advisor is Professor Takayuki Okatani. I completed my B.S. course in Physics at the Tohoku University.

My research interests are mainly focused on the optimization algorithms of the Markov Random Fields that are used in the field of computer vision and machine learning. They include mean field approximation, belief propagation, and TAP equation. In the last two years, I have investigated the application of a MRF algorithm that was developed in the field of physics to computer vision problems and also theoretical extension of existing MRF algorithms.
