Mason Mandy
Shelbyville, Tennessee
Dr. Mason Mandy knew he wanted to go into medicine from a young age, but it wasn't until he was accepted into the University of Alabama-Birmingham School of Medicine that he set his sights on surgery in particular. Over the next few years Dr. Mandy did groundbreaking research for various niches, such as gastro-jejunostomy techniques and biologic mesh, and headed to Beth Israel Medical Center upon his graduation. There, he completed five years of on-site training in surgical procedures.
For Dr. Mandy, surgery is an art form-- particularly minimally invasive surgeries, which require a strategic, steady hand and careful minimization of cosmetic effects. Dr. Mandy now practices out of Heritage Medical Center and continues to attend industry lectures so that he can grow his experience even more.
Outside of his work Dr. Mandy is a devoted husband and father, a fitness enthusiast, and a sports fan. He enjoys running to stay healthy and even worked his way up to the New York Marathon. Dr. Mandy also enjoys reading about ancient history and, most of all, relaxing with his family.
