Gregory Mason

I am from Detroit Michigan are, born and raised. Came to Grand Rapids in 2005 for college and the best time of my life. Received my bachelors degree in Psychology in 2009 and then went to graduate school and received a masters degree in Social Work (MSW) in 2011. One of the biggest things to happen in my life was coming out and being myself. College gave me the opportunity to leave the Detroit area where I was born and raised and felt held back. Being in Grand Rapids and going to college showed me that I can be myself and be happy and I felt free to do anything and everything I wanted to do as long as I worked hard and did not give up. I am trying to do some great things in my life and contributing my skills and mind to the Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual, & Transgender community is something that I have wanted to do for a long time, but it is really difficult to get job opportunities. Therefore, I had to be creative and I want to build something from the ground up and see where it goes from there.
