Seungri is a South Korean singer, songwriter, dancer, actor, and model, who is best known as a member of South Korean boy group Big Bang.

Along with his native Korean, he speaks fluent Japanese and conversational English.

After passing the college entrance exams, Seungri was accepted into Chung-Ang University and began his college education in spring 2010, along with Yuri and Sooyoung of Girls' Generation.

In 2011 it was revealed that he opened several schools in Korea, titled "Seungri Academy", though the real name is Joy Dance - Plug In Music Academy. The academies provided singing and dancing training. When interviewed on a show, he said that he wanted a stable income besides that of a singer. Those that attended the dance academies are himself, 2NE1's Minzy, WINNER's Jinwoo, KARA's Goo Hara, Jewelry's Semi, Co-Ed School and Speed's Sungmin, B.A.P's Zelo, EXID's Hyerin, VIXX's Hyuk, C-CLOWN's Kangjun, T-ara's former member Hwayoung, EXCITE's BEAT, BIGSTAR's Sunghak, MAIN (Male Vocal Group), Ladies' Code's Sojung, LC9's AO, Bangtan Boys' J-Hope and many more.

In 2012, he dropped out of Chung-Ang University after being placed on academic probation several times due to his demanding schedule with Big Bang.[16] After dropping out of Chung-Ang University, he decided to continue his studies by enrolling at Gukje Digital University so he could take online classes and attend his schedules at the same time.
