It's nice to finally see the realization that UX applies to more than buttons and actions. Applying design to life is about more than making things look good - but the actions they create, how they function, how they interact with people, and ultimately what the final, memorable experience is for the user.
With over 2 decades as a professional designer, I've realized that design starts with the end user - not the product. We need to check our egos at the door and do what's best for the user, not ourselves.
My accumulation of experiences has helped me become a big picture visionary with the ability to uncover the true problem in a situation and then conduct a symphony of marketing activities to create a masterpiece.
Good design is decoration, Great Design solves a problem.
