I can't believe it's been two years already since I started this blog! I know it's been a bumpy ride, and I've fallen off the face of the earth a few times, but what Mom doesn't occasionally get overwhelmed by parenthood? The important thing is I am back and ready to help out the mamas of today!
A reader pointed out that my "who am I" article was outdated, and sure enough, I was a mother of one in the article! We can't be excluding our little Bug! If you are interested in getting to know the mind behind MasterfulMamas, you came to the right place.
My name is Sara. I'm a breastfeeding, crunchy, babywearing, cloth diapering mother. I am for gentle parenting, baby led weaning, everything organic, all-natural products and remedies, hemp and nursing past the age of 2. I'm against genetically modified organisms (GMOs).
I'm a Mommy to two adorable, sweet angels. I had Bear (Mary Jane, nicknamed MareBear, which got shortened to Bear) on Valentine's Day of 2011 in the wee hours of the morning. Bug (Matthew John, nicknamed June June, turned into Junebug, which got shortened to Bug) was born this year exactly a week before Bear's second birthday! I also have a stepdaughter, Sammantha, whom we love very much but don't get to see very often because she lives far away. She is so loving, silly, beautiful, and intelligent!
Bear is like sunshine. She was our miracle baby, and she wakes up smiling and laughing every single day. She is almost two and a half years old and about 3 feet tall!
We're not big on sugar in our house, and she surprises the heck out of people when she says she doesn't want soda, she wants water! She'll smack her lips and say, "mmmm...that's yummy water!" Bear shares her toys and bites of food without thinking twice; you can see the joy in her eyes when she makes someone happy.
I can tell already, she's going to be a gorgeous (crystal blue eyed), baseball playing, speed shooting, rocket scientist, singing and breaking hearts wherever she goes. Bear loves to figure out how things work. If she can, she'll take whatever it is apart to see the mechanics of it. Watching her fascinates me every time.
Bug. My precious little baby boy. He is now already FIVE months old, and weighs almost 20 lbs! He looks just like his Daddy, but gosh is he a Mama's boy! Bug is so handsome with his beautiful blue
