East Coast Jazz Rendezvous Series Kicked Off on a Strong Note & More Ahead

To quote the founding partners of The new Jazz Rendezvous Series : "This is the best thing going right now in terms of adult entertainment in Jacksonville, NC for the 30 & Up crowd. Musical sets for grown folks only -this is not a kids event, get a baby sitter!" The Winter Jazz Concert Series has arrived!

The first of 3 sensational evenings of great music, talented musicians, fine dining and good company began on Friday November 16, 2012. Contemporary Jazz artist & Saxophonist extraordinaire "Darryl Donnell Murrill", bent listening ears and stole the hearts of a packed house. Where? At the Brick House Lounge located inside Pizzuti's Italian Bistro, on 255 Wilmington HWY (17 South) Jacksonville.

The appreciative crowd was "dressed to impress" and there was no shortage of toe tapping and hand clapping. Kick off performer Darryl D. Murrill, is not just another performer; he is a humble man who repeatedly gave thanks to God and his lovely wife, who was also in attendance. A razor sharp (Live) band consisting of 2 Guitarist, a Drummer, and a "talented Cat" on the Keyboards accompanied Darryl, making them a melodic force to be dealt with. During Intermission and after the last set was over," D.J Roc Rocked the house, or should we say rocked the dance floor? With an amazing selection of dance music that had them all stepping in style"

The American Red Cross Jacksonville Chapter was on hand with shiny Red collection pails in tow, all for the victims of hurricane Sandy's spilled wrath. A portion of the evening's proceeds was also donated to those victims. Church's Chicken was a proud Sponsor of these events.
