Hey, pursuing a Bachelor of Education degree at the University of Johannesburg is a third-year student Mathapelo Mabote, majoring in Psychology, Life Orientation, and History. As part of my professional training I'm a pre-service teacher and I offer tutoring services to nearby secondary schools in History and Life Orientation. I chose to become a teacher because I want to play a role in building the future of our society. As a teacher, I get to build the next generation of leaders, doctors, and other professionals who will play a huge role in making a difference in our country. It is such a great feeling knowing that you are part of the crew that helped shape the minds of tomorrow.

In my spare time, I find joy in reading about history and watching historical documentaries, indulge in music, dancing, and drawing. I also engage in volunteering work such as helping senior citizens with their laundry and cleaning their houses as a way of giving back to the community.
