I'm a former Broadcast Journalist and former Borough Councillor.
I'm a Trustee/Director with a number of charities/organisations, locally and nationally.
I'm a School Governor.
I'm also involved in helping to shape public policy as an active member of the Liberal Democrats.
I believe we all have a duty to do public good...whether we're in elected office or just as a private citizen.
My current roles:
Governor, Newlands Community Primary School in Barwell.
As part of that role I'm also the school's Anti-Bullying Lead Governor.
I'm Co-Chair of Barwell Carnival Association.
I'm a Trustee of Next Generation in Hinckley.
I'm a member of Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council's 5-11 years Network.
I'm a Trustee/Director of the Leicester LGBT Centre.
As part of that role I'm Secretary to the Board.
I'm a Director of Republic-The Campaign for an Elected Head of State.
I'm a Management Committee member of Compass.
I'm a Council Member of the Social Liberal Forum.
I'm a Trustee of The Library Campaign.
I'm an Executive Member of the Lib Dem Education Association.
I'm Chair and a co-founder of Lib Dem Friends of Youth Services.
I'm Coordinator and co-founder of Lib Dem Fairtrade Future.
I'm Coordinator of Lib Dems for a Republic.
Former roles:
I was a Broadcast Journalist with a group of commercial radio stations in the Midlands from 2004 to 2009.
I represented Barwell on Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council, as an elected Liberal Democrat Councillor, from 2011 to 2015.
Education:
I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Broadcast Journalism from Nottingham Trent University in 2002.
