Mathias Hollstein
Systems Engineering, Cyber Threat Intelligence, and Direction in Frankfurt, Germany
Mathias Hollstein, born 1984 in Potsdam, Germany is a systems engineer in the field of security engineering and an expert for cyber threat intelligence and open source intelligence.
He excelled in the technology industry and has a strong track record of advising various organizations, helping them improve security using advanced technology. For several years now, he is mainly busy for organizations in the Frankfurt/Rhine-Main metropolitan area.
Hollstein also founded the nongovernmental intelligence organization TRON-DELTA.ORG in 2003, which is active in the field of information security and open source intelligence. Since 2014, he has been the director of that organization, and therefore was involved in technical projects next to various intelligence operations.
Some technical, non-intelligence projects worth mentioning are the contributions to the highly secure LXCMS, Xubuntu SE (Security Enhanced) GNU/Linux and the reimplementation of the DeltaNet/TDNIS network defense infrastructure.
Intelligence operations included the publication of the biennial TRON-DELTA.ORG Cyber Security Report (CSR) 2012/2014, as well as the management of the organizations CERT (Computer Emergency Response Team). He further attended the analysis/audit of various software, such as Team Cymru's MHR (add-on for Mozilla Firefox), the Dshell (analysis framework) of the U.S. Army, and Fraunhofer SIT's Volksverschlüsselung (encryption software).
In addition to that, Hollstein is involved in multiple other projects, working hard for what he supports, such as the distributed.net computing projects, the Octopussy open-source log management solution, and the Ubuntu operating system, besides his voluntary support for organizations like the Free Software Foundation.
Hollstein also is an in demand speaker across security-related private events of his intelligence organization, and thereby regularly inspires the audiences.
