Matías Herranz

I've been working as a Software Engineer for 12+ years. My core language from the beginning was Python, joined by Javascript/ES6/TypeScript/NodeJS on the last 6.

I'm a Computer Science and Open Source software enthusiast, who loves a good challenge and apps at scale, an expert gardener, eager to traveling and about every place with mountains, someone who does not imagine a happy life without human contact, sports, outdoor activities and contact with nature.

My professional experience goes mainly around Python, Django, Javascript/ES6/TypeScript, with highlights on the following technologies:

- ReactJS, NextJS, Gatsby, Redux, AngularJS,

- Python / Django, Flask, PIL, Scipy, numpy, etc.

- HTML / CSS / LESS / SASS,

- MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, MS SQL Server.

I have a keen interest in and I enjoy learning, always trying to build a better me. Given this, and my Computer Science academic background, I'm used to proactively suggest and take care of the R+D tasks of the projects I work on, as well as getting involved on facilitating the process of growth of the newer members of my teams.

Traveling and the contact with other people are some of the instances I consider most enriching in this search of all-level learning.
