Australian male born in Sydney some time after man walked on the moon. Started school in the UK, then Sydney, Darwin and Adelaide.

Growing up in what people might call "a Navy family", I ended up at the Australian Defence Force Academy, and then the Royal Australian Naval College before a few years at sea on ships large and small.

I left the RAN perhaps too early, perhaps too late - but worked for the Crown - one way or another - from when I left school until ...

Canberra is pretty much "home" now although I (theoretically) "grew up" in Sydney and more so Adelaide - so each city has memories and connections for me.

First and foremost I'm an Australian - and immensely proud of it!

Happily settled with that special someone, and trying my hardest to enjoy life and see the world together - so long as we both shall live :P

Birthday card from Mother says that I've "Reached the perfect age – 29 and holding". I prefer to just say that "I'm closer to 30 than I am to 25" :-)
