I grew up in Kansas, the last of five children; and yes, I was spoiled. In 1988 I met the woman of my dreams (D’Anne) at a triathlon in Topeka, Kansas. She beat me at that race, so I figured I should get to know her better. The rest, as they say, is history. We have two wonderful daughters, Kaylan and Emma. D’Anne has worked at the Kellogg Company since 1993 in the Research and Development Department. Her claim to fame is the Wild Berry Pop-Tart with the cool wavy frosting design.

Our family has been at Dexter Lake since 2000 and I have been on staff since 2005. We love the people and what God is doing in the life of this awesome church. My passion is partnering with people as they make a decision to put God first in their life. Over time, change happens that proves the reality that God does work everything together for good.

Hobbies: Spending time with my family; watching my girls ride their horses; riding my motorcycle (with my wife and friends); softball, golf and running.

Books: I don’t like fiction. I do love reading personal development books: You the Leader by Phil Pringle, The Remnant by Larry Stocksdale, Seven Practices of Effective Ministry by Andy Stanley.

Odd Facts: I have a huge phobia of walking on ice – I will not ice fish – ever!

Life Scripture: 2 Timothy 2:1-2 - “Timothy, my dear son, be strong through the grace that God gives you in Christ Jesus. 2 You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others.”
