Matt Shilcock
Consultant, Small Business Owner, and Project Manager in Adelaide
Matt lives with Osteogenesis Imperfecta (aka "Brittle Bones") and is a board member for the OI Society of Australia and Tutti Arts Inc. He is passionate about the advocacy and empowerment for people with a disability, particularly in the workplace and creating entrepreneurship through micro enterprise.
He is excited to combine his lived experience with his passion for Small Business and Entrepreneurship in providing employment and start up business opportunities for people living with disability.
Matt holds more that a decade long career as a sole trading entrepreneur; touring the globe predominantly as an actor/dancer for stage productions. During his time in the performing arts, Matt has tried his hand at every possible job in the field, from performing on stage and film, to directing, choreography, producing, project planning, financial management, venue management, marketing, design and creating proposals (business, sponsorships and projects).
Matt is excited to be involved in a project that endorses and aids the ‘right to choose’ for NDIS participants, through an open market approach to Disability and Aged Care products; whilst founding his own venture company providing education, advocacy and tools to empower people living with disability to manage they're own business and work lives.
