A real estate investment professional, author, and speaker, Matt Skinner began his career working for a contractor digging trenches. At age 22, he established his own construction business and grew it to generate around $10 million in construction work annually. He has built award-winning homes in areas such as Malibu, Beverly Hills, and Bel Air. In 2009, after the financial crisis, Matt Skinner began buying properties, creating a winning formula to identify prospective investment properties, renovate them, find tenants, and refinance.
The CEO of Empire West, he specializes in buying undervalued apartment assets and development opportunities and helping investors receive a high rate of return. To guide other like-minded entrepreneurs, he developed the DealMakers training program to teach his own proven strategy for successful investment. He is also author of the best-selling book Ultimate Investment Strategy.
Outside of work, Matt Skinner enjoys practicing martial arts, CrossFit, and auto racing, and he maintains membership in the California Yacht Club.
