Matt Clark is the Director of Communications at Grovo where he oversee the company’s corporate messaging, media relations and external brand awareness efforts. Matt brings nearly a decade of award-winning public relations, marketing and digital media experience to Grovo, with an emphasis on startups, Internet, and mobile technologies.
Prior to working at Grovo, Matt spent eight years at PR agencies in New York, most recently serving as an Account Supervisor for DKC Integrated Marketing and Public Relations, one of the top 10 independent PR firms in the country. During his time at DKC, Fusion PR and Lotus PR (now Emerging Media), Matt represented some of the biggest tech and consumer brands like Panasonic, Atari, PokerStars, and McAfee as well as launching start-ups Conduit, SeekingAlpha, and Wikia.com.
Matt is the recipient of several awards for outstanding public relations programs, including: the 2009 PR News PR People Awards for media relations executive of the year, the 2008 BullDog Award for best company positioning/branding campaign, and the 2006 Marcom Award for best television campaign. Matt was also named one of PR News’ Top Up and Coming Young Professionals in 2007. Matt formerly served as an advisor for several VC-backed start-ups including Doostang.com, ReTargeter.com, and RocketFrog.com.
Matt earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Villanova University with a concentration in Public Relations.
