Matt has served in the real estate profession for most of his adult life. During his years at Ohio University, he obtained his real estate license and began purchasing rental property while still enrolled as a student. Upon graduation, Matt moved to the Columbus area and began working as a residential buyer’s agent where he gained an understanding of the housing market in the Columbus area. He studied real estate appraisal and became a certified home inspector, to fully develop his real estate knowledge. Matt’s career then took a step forward when he accepted a position with a well known central Ohio commercial real estate company. While there, he developed a working knowledge of all facets of the retail, office, warehouse leasing and sales as well as with property management operations. During his first full year of service in this market, Matt was awarded “Power Broker” status for his performance as a leader in retail leasing in the Columbus area. He since has invested in and helps manage some of his own property in the Columbus market and stil manages property of his own in Athens. The years that Matt has spent leading up to the formation of Core Ohio have provided him with a “core” foundation for how to operate a real estate brokerage the correct way. Past clients respect him for his honesty and knowledge of the market. To Matt, the commission earned is secondary to his sincere desire to advise clients toward the goal of finding timely solutions to their real estate needs.
