Matt Ellis

I am Matt Ellis, a singer/songwriter and worship leader out of the Chicagoland area. I seek to make music for the Lord and to make His great Name known. At the age of 12, I started playing in a small worship band in my church and was mentored by the elder worship leader there. Soon enough I began leading worship at the young age of 13. I started learning in my heart what it meant to truly fall in “Love” with Jesus and not just worship him because I had to, but because I longed to. I recognized my need for Him. Realizing that the Gift of his presence is worth more than anything in this life, More than any human emotion or feeling. In his presence Heaven meets earth, Redemption overcomes pain and fear. I have seen that the only thing that truly matters is meeting God in worship. I started to understand, what Psalm 16:11 means by"In your presence there is the fullness of joy and at your right hand is pleasure forevermore”. Gods mighty, majestic loving presence has changed me and I will never be the same.

I have been blessed to be a part of many amazing opportunities that God has Graciously given me, being in the band "4th Point". I have had the chance to play concerts just before National Christian touring artists such as “Big Daddy Weave”,” Citizen Way” and "MikesChair". Along with playing at the “Simply youth ministry conference in Indianapolis”. I have led worship at a variety of youth camps and churches in the country and have played at a number of town and city festivals.In 2013 my band won the Illinois state battle of the bands placing first out of over 100 other bands.

Above all,I have seen many lives changed by the Love of Christ, and I want to commit my life to declaring the incredible gift of Jesus and making him know. Everyday I try to live the “real life”which I believe is the “opposite life”.

No matter how big or small it may look, I want to use the ability and talents that God has given me to my full to potential to serve others and serve him well. Galatians 2:20 says” The life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the son of God who loved me and gave himself for me” and that is the declaration I try to live by “He gave his life for me so I will live my life for him".

We live in a world with a deep need, to know the great love that we were made for and the truth that God wants to speak into our lives. I want to make a mark and a stain on this world spreading the wonderful news of Jesus Christ to whe
