Hey I’m Matt! I’m a student at Ryerson University currently working on my degree in Creative Industries. I live in the city of Toronto, where there is no shortage of creative minds to meet and things to learn. To say that i’m a fan of music is an understatement, but if i could sum up everything I care about, I’d say that music is the thing that drives me to create, to learn, and to connect with other people. I grew up in a small town about an hour outside of the city called Georgetown. Back home, I grew up going to live shows and playing in bands with my friends, whether they were in basements or local bars, attending these shows shaped the person that I am today and the friendships that I still have years later. Participating in my local music scene is definitely what shaped my desire to be a part of community. I think that community and connectivity is important, and the friendships i've made through the universal language of sharing and discovering music are life long. I'd love to find myself working in the music industry on any level, working with other like minded, creative people who share the same passion for discovering music that I do.
