Mother Teresa once said about the people she ministered to that it was in their faces she saw Jesus in the most distressing disguise. My encounters with my friends from numerous cultures have taught me how true her statement is for all people from all places. They may not have been in distress like the poorest of the poor she ministered to in India, but it is in their faces and my experiences with them that I have come to realize the beauty of what Jesus said when he said- "For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life". God's love is for all people. Much like Billy Graham once said- "Christ belongs to all people. he belongs to all the world."
It is my hope that as I share my experiences with my friends that you will see the beauty in all people and see the lvoe God has for all people. The photo on this page is of me with an elderly Karen woman from Burma. When I met her at a wedding, I said to her "Jesus Loves you" in her language. She hugged me repeatedly and was my friend that day at the wedding. She came here as a refugee in her old age.
