Matt Merrifield

I advocate geospatial technology for conservation planning, science, marketing, and legal applications at TNC. I make geographic databases that support strategic planning and monitoring and lead a team of GIS professionals and practitioners doing cartography and geographic analysis. I am also a principal investigator of the MarineMap Consortium, a group working to integrate marine policy, science, and technology by creating better tools for marine spatial planning.
