Matt Moran

Matt Moran (BSc. Econ (Hons), ACA – ICAEW) has a career of more than 20 years in financial services in mainland Europe, the UK, Ireland and North America.
He has significant public and private company experience in running, advising and restructuring businesses, most recently at Chief Executive / Board level.
Matt is currently Managing Director of MEM Finance, a specialist corporate finance and strategy consulting business in Luxembourg serving the private banking, private client, family office and middle market corporate sectors.
MEM Finance provides consulting to clients on all aspects of:
- Corporate & Private Finance
- Mergers & Acquisitions
- Business Strategy & Transformation
Matt has acted in transactions, as advisor, executive or principal, across Europe and North America totalling in excess of €5 billion.
Prior to establishing MEM Finance in 2014, Matt was Chief Executive Officer of Lombard International Assurance SA, Luxembourg’s largest life insurance company with some €25 billion of assets.
He was instrumental in the company’s transformation increasing operating profits three-fold to in excess of €40 million, eliminating almost €100 million of corporate debt and doubling equity shareholder funds.
The strength of the company under his leadership was further evidenced by it returning more than €20 million in dividends to shareholders in respect of financial years 2012 and 2013; the first ever dividend’s in the company’s more than 20 year history.
Prior to his appointed as CEO, he served as Executive Director responsible for Technology & Change Management and Chief Financial Officer since joining the business in 2009.
