I'm from Hull in East Yorkshire, or 'The North' if you're not very familiar with anything further up than High Barnet. It's not even in the middle of the North, but out on its sloping left shoulder. The train terminates there doesn't go any further. I love the place very much. Have a read of Philip Larkin's poem 'Here' and you'll start to get an idea of who we are, and therefore who I am.
I've been acting since I was very young. My dad performed with the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company, and he met my mum at a singing competition. They encouraged me to try singing and acting. I did it for fun then, and approval in the form of laughter, applause and sweets. Nothing has changed much, but I can buy my own sweets now.
