The definition of an aunt is the sister of one’s parent, but an aunt is so much more than just another family member. To me an aunt is an abundance of love and laughs; a warm hug; a never ending amount of fun; and a support system like no other. That’s who I am. I am an aunt to two beautiful children that are the whole world to me. Sawyer is a spunky three year old little girl. She is sassy and knows exactly what she wants. Everyone she meets is automatically wrapped around her finger about as tightly as the curls on her head. She is going nonstop from the time she wakes up in the morning till her head hits the pillow that night. While chasing her around all day is a feat, it is one I, as well as anyone else that knows her, will gladly do any time. Fritz is a stoic baby boy that may not do much yet, but every move he makes is fascinating and beautiful. Every little smile, giggle, grunt, and snuggle is a cherished memory for me. When I look into those piercing baby blues I feel so filled with joy. Out of all the nicknames or titles I have ever had, there is nothing I’m more proud of or that I love more than being an aunt to these two little bundles or pure love and joy.
