My early years were spent serving the United States Marine Corp in a variety of positions ensuring mission critical applications were operationally effective at all times. Through these experiences I was able to gain the ability to diligent, relentless, and adaptable in highly stressful environments. I am a generalist and engineer at heart. I enjoy learning new things and am enthralled by the insights hiding in the data.

I hold certificates with most of the Hadoop distributions,including Cloudera, MapR, and BigInsights.

A colleague of my has created a community, bigdatacentric.com, of like-minded individuals interested in learning about and sharing their experiences with Big Data. I enjoy discussing the emerging technologies and crazy cool stuff others are doing with their data. I also help organize and host our monthly meetups.
