Matt Cavanaugh is a Philadelphia based illustrator and design professional. Matt received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Philadelphia’s University of Arts and his Masters in Fine Arts through the School of Visual Arts in New York City. His constantly evolving professional career has led him to diverse experiences working at in-house studios ranging from toy packaging design to innovative liquor brand advertising. Beyond the studio environments, he continues to be involved in freelance illustration and design projects in print and digital media. Through that experience Matt continues to provide art direction and creative services to solve his clients needs while producing engaging visual work. As the new age of print and digital media continues to evolve, Matt also experiments in entrepreneurial projects and self-publishing ventures. While staying true to his core, and relying on a strong background in traditional drawing and art making processes, Matt nurtures his fine art ambitions by exhibiting artwork at gallery exhibitions.

As an educator Matt strives to mentor students in expanding their creative viewpoints with strong story-telling skills, thinking through drawing methods, professional work habits for creative lifestyles and providing tactics for becoming innovators in our constantly progressing creative landscape.
