Matt DeRienzo

Matt DeRienzo is publisher of The Register Citizen, a daily newspaper in Torrington, Connecticut, and Foothills Media Group, which includes The Register Citizen, a regional shopper, six weekly newspapers and niche publications in Northwest Connecticut and the Farmington Valley. He previously served as corporate director of news, small dailies and non-daily publications, for Register Citizen parent Journal Register Company. He started his career as a weekly and daily newspaper reporter and editor in Maine, New Hampshire and Connecticut. He is a board member and campaign co-chairman of the United Way of Northwest Connecticut, a board member of the Northwest Connecticut Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Torrington Rotary Club.
