Matt DiNofia

Matt DiNofia has over 20 years of real estate management and development experience in the San Diego area. In 1995, Mr. DiNofia founded La Jolla Development Group, LLC which specializes in the acquisition and turnaround of commercial, residential, hospitality, land and golf properties. Additionally Mr. DiNofia has developed numerous high end custom single family homes in the San Diego market as well as several multi-family redevelopment projects. His business model involves purchasing income producing assets that provide operating cash flow, yet offer substantial upside returns through renovation and/or re-tenanting the properties or re-positioning the asset. Mr. DiNofia’s expertise in increasing income of real estate properties has led to returns of up to 600% on previously owned assets. Skilled in the areas of acquisitions, redevelopment planning, financing projects, regulatory issues, and leasing & property management, Matt DiNofia has been involved in over $200 million and over 5 million square feet of commercial & residential, hospitality, and golf property projects in Southern California. From 2008 until 2013 Mr. DiNofia became heavily involved in and skilled in financial restructuring of debt either through lender workouts or through Chapter 11 bankruptcy positioning. In every case Mr. DiNofia was able to successful re-position the asset at more favorable terms commensurate with the value of the asset or sold the asset generating positive cash flow to the company and strengthening its balance sheet.

A graduate of San Diego State University with a Bachelor’s of Business Finance degree and a licensed California real estate broker. Matt has been involved: Toys for Tots, Rally For the Cure, Chelsea‘s Light, Poway High School Boys and Girls Golf Team, , MS Society, Poway High School Baseball Team, The Charley Hoffman Foundation, Mission Hills High Golf Teams, MS Society, Boys&Girls Clubs, Salute to Our Hero‘s Golf Tournament, San Marcos High Golf Teams, Cal State San Marcos Golf Teams, San Diego Jr Golf Children International, US Institute of Amateur Athletics The National Golf Course Owner’s Association, The Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA), the San Diego Epilepsy Board, International Counsel of Shopping Centers, and Young Presidents Organization (YPO), a group of CEO’s across the globe. Outside of these endeavors, Matt is a Youth Sports Coach, a devoted father of two and lives in LaJolla California.
