I am Deputy Principal at Avanti House Secondary School in Stanmore (London Borough of Harrow), part of the Avanti Schools Trust, where I have been a member of the senior leadership team since 2016. I am a Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching, in recognition of my research informed approach to developing education.

My current responsibilities include:
- Whole school quality of education, covering curriculum, teaching, learning and assessment
- Digital strategy, including the school's approach to AI in teaching and learning
- Staff development, including cross-trust CPD on curriculum design for middle leaders
- KS4 options, EPQ coordination, and oversight of cover
- Senior link to subject areas including English, Maths and Science
- Quality nominee and lead verifier for BTEC and functional skills
- Member of the school safeguarding team (Level 3 trained)

I am currently seconded to the Avanti Schools Trust to lead on Arbor data and the KS3 assessment strategy, and I contribute to the Trust's data team and AI working group.

I serve as Chair of Governors at Two Waters Primary School in Hemel Hempstead, having previously held the role of Deputy Chair. I am the link governor for safeguarding, health and safety, and estates, and have previously held the Pupil Premium link role.

Alongside my school leadership role, I run Dendrite Education, an educational consultancy supporting schools, students and parents to use EdTech and AI effectively to improve the quality of teaching and learning. Dendrite produces resources and delivers in person and online support.

Earlier at Avanti House, I led on pastoral care and personal development, embedding restorative practices and inclusive behaviour management aligned with 'The Avanti Way'. This work was recognised by Challenge Partners as an area of excellence in 2020.

From 2011 to 2016 I was Head of Music and Associate Head of Faculty at Kingsbury High School, responsible for curriculum and extra-curricular provision for approximately 2,000 students. I have also taught at Claremont High School, St Joan of Arc RC School, West Thames College, and the London College of Music, covering music and music technology at KS3, GCSE, BTEC and A-Level.

I hold an MA in Music Education from the Institute of Education, with a dissertation on online sharing of student music to promote engagement, attainment and ownership.

Outside school, I am a saxophonist and keyboard player, with experience across acid jazz, funk and jive. From 2003 to 2006 I played saxophone with The Jive Cats, one of the UK's leading jive bands.
