Matteo Giovannini

Senior Finance Manager in Beijing China

I am a China-based finance professional with years of extensive experience in FP&A and Project Financing in private and state-owned enterprises.

Since 2015 I have been serving as a Senior Finance Manager at the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), the world’s largest financial institution by total assets, in China's capital city. Prior to that, I spent 7 years in Italy at one of Europe’s largest communication groups covering business operations in EMEA and LATAM regions.

Since 2024 I am a Non-Resident Associate Fellow at the Beijing-based think tank Center for China and Globalization (CCG).

Currently I serve as an International Committee Member of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart Alumni Far East, as an Advisory Committee Member of the Beijing Global Talent Exchange Association and as an MBA Alumni Ambassador of the National School of Development at Peking University. I am a member of the Global Young Leaders Dialogue (GYLD) and of the Young China Watchers - Beijing chapter.

I hold an MBA from the National School of Development at Peking University, an M.Sc. in Multimedia Management from IULM University, and a B.A. in Economics and Business from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Milan.

I am a citizen of Italy and a Permanent Resident of China.

My interests range from playing tennis to going to gym, from travelling to reading biographies.
