Matteo Moretti works as researcher at the Faculty of Design and Arts of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano where he teaches "web and interactive design" and he researches on methodologies and practices of Visual Journalism. He also co-founded the research platform on the Visual journalism education visualjournalism.unibz.it.

His last project "Europa dreaming" that adds a reflection on the European Dream called into question by the migrants' dream has been freshly published. "People's Republic of Bolzano" won the Data Journalism Award 2015.
